I have a special announcement…
After a lot of hard work behind the scenes for the past several months, I’m thrilled to finally announce that I have a new book coming out! It’s titled: Mental Health Journal for Women: Creative Prompts and Practices to Improve Your Well-Being.

So, what’s this book about?
Every woman deserves a supportive space where she can nurture her psychological and emotional well-being. This mental health journal features reflective writing prompts and evidence-based practices to help make peace with the past, savor the present, and look ahead to the future. The content of this book was informed by my identity and experiences as a woman, and the mental health practices that I’ve found the most helpful.
This is a book for women of all backgrounds.
The process of writing this book invited me to reflect on my own life, my personal experiences with mental health, and what I’ve learned from my academic, clinical, and professional experiences as a licensed professional counselor. As an Indian-American woman and child of immigrants, I am especially proud to have written this book for people who may have never felt like mental health resources were created with their unique and diverse backgrounds in mind. I grew tired of waiting for the inclusive mental health resources that I always wanted. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to create some myself.
What sets it apart from other self-help journals?
I’ve organized the content of this book into three relatable, accessible domains of mental health:
- Tap into your emotions—Learn to manage your feelings with simple exercises that will help you create a self-care plan and better cope with stress.
- Master your mindset—Improve and manage your moods with activities that promote positive thinking and sustainable personal growth.
- Thrive in your social life—Reflect on your past experiences in relationships and gain communication tools to help you show up as your best for yourself and others.
Additionally, I wrote this book with a holistic approach, considering how factors such as one’s culture and environment can impact mental health and quality of life. I hope that this journals helps you take charge of your well-being and start living a happier, healthier life.
